Releases and features reference

It is no longer necessary to license Store Manager and POS using MLM. These apps can now be licensed using the RMH Hub.

There are no new features or enhancements in release 3.51.11. Refer to the Release Notes for more information about the bug fixes and other technical updates included in the release.

When you are looking up customers in POS, two new filters are available: AR Account Only and Customer Alias

The Customer and Indirect buttons have been removed from the Register Transaction screen

The Account Payment screen has been renamed Payment to Account

The number of digits allowed in the Unit of Measure field on the Inventory tab of the Item window has been increased from 4 to 10 digits

Now, when one store creates an inter-store transfer (in or out), the matching transfer (in or out) is created in the other store when the transfer is released in the originating store

If you try to run the physical inventory count or Import Utility executables outside of Store Manager or Central Manager, a warning message displays

You now have the option to enter a Store Key, which will be used in combination with Store ID to authenticate the store to Central Manager

The Tax Schedule Basis options in Store Manager have changed. If applying tax on a per customer basis, POS calculates the local tax at the destination using the shipping address, not the billing address. If selected, the shipping address displays in the Customer pane in POS. A new Clear Shipping Address button is available on the Customers menu in POS.

The ReceiptTemplates folder has been removed from the RMH POS folder. All receipt templates are now located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Retail Hero\RMH Store Manager\ReceiptTemplates

A Refresh button is now available on the Dashboard. A manual refresh of the Dashboard data can also be triggered by pressing F5 on the keyboard.

If Auto Release Order is enabled in the Order Setting options, when you download a purchase order to Store Manager using Worksheet 340: PO Planner, the status of the purchase order is Open when it starts downloading and Released after it has finished downloading

A scroll bar is available for the Extended Description field in the Item window so you can scroll up and down through the description if it extends beyond the fixed field dimensions

Store Manager uses improved calculations to calculate the landed cost for each item received through purchase orders and inventory transfers

You can configure how often the Backwards Compatibility Extension checks for jobs in the database. The minimum interval is 10 seconds and the maximum is 60 seconds.

You can display the Department Code and Category Code columns in the Items list view by clicking Merchandising | Items | Layout

Custom fields created in Central Manager are now automatically synchronized to stores. Stores can also create their own custom fields. Custom fields created at the store level are not synchronized to the Central database.

You can now use the Flash Consistency Checker to synchronize time clock and time card entries

When you install a new version of Flash Central Client or Flash Central Server, the installation wizards automatically configure the client and server services using the existing configuration files

If you import a file into the worksheets, if a column value in the file is null (i.e., empty/no value provided), Central Manager will pull the value from the Central database into the worksheet. However, if a column value in the file is 0 (zero), Central Manager will change the value in the worksheet to the number 0 (zero).

You can add Item.BinLocation to Sharp Shooter purchase order and transfer in/out report templates

If you are setting up a customer in Store Manager, the system will check if the Account Number already exists in the central database

If you select Print labels for items that satisfy the following filter in the Label Wizard, there are new options available from the Field drop-down menu

The Cancel button on the Login screen is disabled under certain conditions to prevent the cashier from accidentally closing POS

The Installation Wizard for Loyalty no longer prompts you to install the Flash Bridge

Starting on May 30, 2023, a new Flash-based version of the RMH apps is available. The 3.50.0 (Flash) release includes all of the bug fixes, enhancements, and new features from the original, "classic" version of the RMH apps, up to (and including) release 3.11.21.

The "classic" version of the RMH apps will continue to be available for a period of time. However, after release 3.11.21 there will only be bug fixes to the "classic" version - no enhancements or new features will be added. Partners are encouraged to migrate customers to the Flash-based version of the RMH apps as soon as possible so their customers can benefit from the enhancements and new features in that product.

Department, Category, and Supplier information can now be included and viewed in a number of Active Reports

You can delete available serial numbers for items in a centrally-managed store

WAM certification functionality is available for stores in the European Union (EU)

When you click the Movement Report button - available from either the Items list view or the Item properties screen - it loads the Active Report instead of the Sharp Shooter report

If you click an Item Lookup Code in a worksheet it will open the item in the Item dialog, and if you click an Item Lookup Code, Department, or Category in a report it will open the relevant Item, Department, or Category dialog

The Cashier Time Clock and Cashier Time Clock with Time in Hours-Minutes reports use an improved formula for calculating time worked

If you select the Print only after asking the cashier option for printed receipts, the change due for cash transactions will also display in the receipt prompt dialog

When you generate a physical inventory count file, there are two new options for excluding inactive items from the count

If you use Item Filter to add items to worksheets, you can build a filter based on the MSRP of the items. This new option is available for all worksheets except 261.

The wizard will no longer create any jobs to synchronize items to stores. Use Worksheet 261: Download Items to synchronize items (and their properties) to stores instead of the wizard.

To log in, you must be a central user or manager user who has the new permission Allowed to access the Loyalty program assigned to their role

To use price embedded barcodes in regions that do not use fractional item prices, you must change the Currency settings on each computer running Store Manager and POS to use 0 digits after the decimal

When you are programming a chain of commands for POS Task Pads, if you enter a {Reason Code} parameter for an applicable DiscountTransaction command, the reason code is applied automatically to the transaction

If you select Print labels for items that satisfy the following filter and click the Browse icon, you can now select LowerBound and UpperBound from the Field drop-down

You will notice improved performance if you use Item Filter to add items to the worksheet

New option Allow to change On Hand Quantity for manager user roles in both Central Manager and Store Manager

If you create a global cashier in Central Manager, the POS task pad value will be automatically set to <Use register default> in Store Manager for the store groups to which the cashier is assigned

When global cashiers (created in Central Manager) change their password in POS or Store Manager, the password is synchronized to Central Manager and then to any stores where the cashier record exists

You can configure mandatory customer fields and define a required phone number format.

If you click Close before you have saved changes to your physical inventory count batch, you will be prompted to save your changes

All three serial number fields (1, 2, and 3) have been added to the data source used to customize the Purchase Order and Transfer In/Out templates

You can program buttons to execute a series of commands when the button is clicked by adding a semicolon (;) between commands

New option "Enable sequential payment" available for sequential tendering.
