# Transfer an item out of offline inventory

1. Click **Inventory/Purchasing**.
2. Click **Offline Inventory**.
3. Click in the **Find** field and search for the item.
4. Select the item.
5. Click one of the following:

* Click **To Main** if you want to transfer the item from offline inventory to the main store inventory. For example, you might do this if you want to move repaired items to the main store inventory for sale.
* Click **Transfer Out** if you want to transfer the item from offline inventory out of the store. For example, you might do this if you want to send a damaged item to a supplier for credit.

6. (Optional) If you clicked **To Main**, click **Yes** to confirm that you want to transfer the item to the main store inventory.

The entire Offline Quantity of the item is moved to the main store inventory. You cannot specify a quantity to move to the main inventory.

7. (Optional) If you clicked **Transfer Out**:
   1. On the **Header** tab, enter shipping information.
   2. Click **Ship**.
   3. On the **Posting** tab, enter the delivery information.
   4. Click **Commit**.
   5. Click **OK** to confirm that you want to update quantities in the store database.
   6. Click **Ship All**.
   7. Click **OK** to confirm.
