Collect bottle deposits

This topic describes one method for collecting bottle deposits for recyclable containers. Refer to your store's policies and procedures for collecting bottle deposits.

Stores may collect bottle deposits from customers who purchase items with recyclable containers. Bottle deposits should be automatically added to the transaction when the item with a recyclable container is added to the transaction.

  1. Scan or enter the item with the recyclable container.

The bottle deposit should be automatically added:

  1. Finish adding items to the transaction.

  2. Tender the transaction.
