# Collect bottle deposits

Stores may collect bottle deposits from customers who purchase items with recyclable containers. Bottle deposits should be automatically added to the transaction when the item with a recyclable container is added to the transaction.

1. Scan or enter the item with the recyclable container.

The bottle deposit should be automatically added:

2. Finish adding items to the transaction.
3. Tender the transaction.
