Understanding active reports
You can use active reports to analyze different aspects of a store's retail operations. Under Reports | Active Reports, you will see four folders:
-
Standard: These reports were developed for Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS), and are included in RMH for retailers who have migrated from RMS to RMH.
-
Custom: These reports were developed by either RMH or RMH partners. Reports in the Custom folder may appear to be similar to the reports in the Standard folder, but they usually include additional columns (and data) that are not available in the original RMS reports.
-
Memorized: This folder contains the store's custom reports. Stores will typically save (memorize) custom reports so they can reuse filters or retain report layouts. This folder is only visible if the store has saved (memorized) one or more custom reports.
-
Physical Inventory Count: These reports are used exclusively during physical inventory counts.
Active reports for Store Manager are typically stored under C:\Program Files (x86)\Retail Hero\RMH Store Manager\ActiveReports. Active reports in the Standard, Custom, and Physical Inventory Count sub-folders may be overwritten when Store Manager is updated to a new version. For this reason, the best practice is to save (memorize) the store's custom reports with a different file name. Memorized reports are automatically saved to the Memorized folder, and reports in this folder are not overwritten when Store Manager is updated. If you change the storage location for active reports (for example, if you move them to a networked folder), you must update the file path for Active Reports in Store Administrator under File | Configuration | Path.
