Setting up tag along items
are automatically added to transactions when a specific item (the parent item) is rung up in POS. Tag along items may be non-inventory items, such as free gifts, or they may be other standard items that must (or should) be sold with the parent item, such as a memory card for a digital camera. This topic describes all steps required to set up and assign tag along items in RMH.
Adding non-inventory tag along items

Select Standard Item and click OK. |

For the Item Lookup Code, enter a unique ILC for the item. |

From Item type, select Non-Inventory. |

|
(Optional) Select a Department and Category. |
|

|
Clear the check mark beside Item is taxable. Non-inventory items are given away for free and are not taxable. |

e.
|
For Price, enter zero ($0.00). Non-inventory items are given away for free. |

f.
|
(Optional) For Cost, enter the store cost for the non-inventory item, if applicable. |
Assigning tag along items to parent items
Tip: You can also use Task 5050: Change Tag Along Item and Quantity in the Advanced Item Wizard or the Import Utility to assign tag along items and set tag along item quantities.

Double-click the parent item to open it. |

Click the Special tab. |

Click the Browse icon next to the Tag along item field and select the tag along item. You can assign either a non-inventory item or another standard item as a tag along item. |

In the Quantities field, enter the quantity of the tag along item to include when the parent item is rung up in POS. |
